While we were dating, my husband use to ask why I always took photos of everything. This was back when I had a little cheap point and shoot camera. We had no idea that would lead to my career and passion as a professional photographer shortly after our daughter was born. They say some talents are passed on genetically and I believe that can be true. Shortly after my father passed away in 2015, I was sent a box of hundreds of images he took while he lived the last years of his life in Vermont. They were images you'd see on post cards or detail shots of flowers and rocks. Some images were very similar to ones I had taken. It gave me a little comfort to know I carried something of him in myself even if it had been years since we'd seen each other last.
